high Kirkland Holidays, a rural retreat
A small family business who have been established for over 30 years.
The Dunlop family bought High Kirkland from the local estate owner back in 1984 which were then in a serious state of disrepair. They renovated Robin's Nest and Heron View. The Byre was then restored in 2002 to add to the equation.
Over the years they built up a great clientele and made many friends along the way.
The driving force was Sheelagh who we sadly lost in 2007. Donald and Robin then took on the legacy while trying to meet the everyday needs of the modern day self caterer.
When Robin passed in 2017, Donald, Vicki, Yvie and Anna took on the baton and continue to be passionate about delivering the best service possible to our wonderful guests. The quest continues...
time for a break?
All 4 cottages are available all year round and are let on a weekly or short break basis. We generally book on a week basis from Friday. Short breaks are Friday – Monday or Monday – Friday.
We are flexible in quieter times. Check-In time is 4pm and Check-Out time is 9.30am
We are more flexible with off peak dates so please ask at time of booking.
