High Kirkland – Conditions of Hire.
Weekly holiday home bookings commence 3pm Friday until 10.30am the following Friday. Weekend holiday home bookings commence 3pm Friday until 10.30am Monday.
Midweek holiday home bookings commence 3pm Monday until 10.30am Friday. Keys are available on the day of arrival. All guests please phone before arriving to be informed where the key will be.
Provisional telephone bookings must be confirmed with full deposit within 7 days. Bookings made less than 28 days before arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking. We reserve the right to re-let if a deposit is not received within this period.
The tenant agrees to leave the property and surroundings in a clean and tidy condition ready for next occupants. You will be provided with enough toilet rolls and bin bags for your stay. All cottages have dishwashers where you will be provided with enough dishwasher tablets for your holiday. The properties are serviced by mains water. If you require any more information then please contact the owner.
Your beds will be made up on your arrival but and a bath and hand towel each will be provided for your holiday. Before leaving please make sure you strip your beds (leave on mattress protector). This will particularly help when there is a changeover that day.
The 50% deposit must be paid at the time of booking. The balance of the full account must be paid and cleared if paying by cheque 14 days prior to arrival. If paying by credit card (through Holiday Rent Payment) there will be a surcharge of 2.29%. This is charged on a Visa card or Mastercard.
On receipt of your initial payment we will send confirmation by e-mail receipt within 48 hours.
Whilst we take every precaution to ensure our accommodation is in proper order, we cannot accept responsibility for accidents that may occur. If for any reason we are unable to supply the accommodation booked, we will offer an alternative or, if this is impossible, refund deposit/hire charges.
Dogs will be allowed in our cottages at an extra cost of £10 per dog/per stay. Dogs MUST not be left unattended in our cottages at any time. They MUST be kept off the furnishings and should they foul on the premises they MUST be cleaned up after.
Any breakages or damages to equipment or furnishings must be reported to the owners and will be charged for at replacement value.
We do not allow smoking, please smoke outside any of the properties and discard your cigarette ends responsibly.
Unless for exceptional circumstances deposits are non-refundable.
‘Robins Nest’ and ‘Heron View’ have log burning stoves which will be provided with a few logs intially but then the customer must source their own logs thereafter. All fire extinguishers in all 3 cottages are located visibly or in cupboards that are easily obtained.
There will be an small fuel supplement charge from October – March added on all 3 cottages.
