Are you a keen mountain biker? Move up a gear or two and take on the world famous 7 Stanes! Run by the Forestry Commission, the award winning 7 Stanes biking trails span the south of Scotland. All the trails have a variety of grades to suit people of all abilities, from beginners right through to the most experienced riders. A great reason for a group of friends or the whole family to get a little muddy!

The 7 Stanes trails are renowned for having their own distinctive characters. We’re a short drive from the Dalbeattie trail, famous for its granite features and breathtaking costal views. We’re also within easy reach of the other Dumfriesshire trails, Kirroughtree, Mabie and Glentrool. Why not visit them all while you’re here?
